Candlelight
event to enliven the holidays on December 7 & 8
Step back in time to a 19th century
Christmas during the Durant House Museums annual Candlelight event. The event
will be held on Saturday, December 7th and Sunday, December 8th
from 2-6pm. Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for kids.
The house will be
decorated in all 19th century finery including evergreens and
candles. All ages will enjoy learning
about Christmas on the prairie, the decorated tree, and trying a tasty treat or
two. The Durant House is located within the LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve at
