Wind Advisory in Effect for Kane Until 10 AM Thursday

Gusts up to 45 mph expected, so be careful driving!

The National Weather Services says Kane County is in for a very blustery—and potentially dangerous—night due to extremely high winds.

The Wind Advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. Thursday.

"WINDS WILL CONTINUE TO INCREASE THIS EVENING... WITH STRONG WINDS LIKELY THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT PERIOD AND LINGERING THROUGH EARLY THURSDAY MORNING," the NWS Chicago says.

"WINDS ... NORTH TO NORTHEAST WINDS UP 35 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 45 MPH ARE LIKELY.

"THE STRONG WINDS COULD RESULT IN MINOR WIND DAMAGE... DOWNED TREE LIMBS AND POWER LINES. LOOSE OUTDOOR OBJECTS LIKE LAWN FURNITURE AND TRASH CANS SHOULD BE SECURED.
