Slew of Accidents to Report in Geneva

Traffic reports: With apologies, some of the traffic reports have been piling up (sorry) and need to be presented in bulk. This is the first of two.

I have to apologize twice—first for not writing up the traffic reports promptly and second for the terrible pun that I've let them "pile up" over the past week.

Here is the first batch of accident reports, with more to come.

Accident on Crescent Place—The rear of a Chrysler Town & Country driven by Jeffrey Forni, 53, of Sandwich collided with the rear of a Chrysler Sebring driven by Carla Cunningham, 33, of Geneva around 2 p.m. June 4 in the 300 block of Crescent Place, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Accident on South Randall Road—The front of a Chrysler Sebring driven by Matthew Lulek, 20, of Geneva collided with the rear of a Pontiac G8 driven by Cliff Schoenrade, 47, of Elgin around 11 a.m. May 31 in the 2100 block of South Randall Road near Fabyan Parkway, reports said. Less than $500 damage was done to any one vehicle. Lulek was issued a warning ticket for failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash.

Collision on East State Street—The front of an Olsdmovile Ninety Eight driven by Sidney Edar, 80, of St. Charles collided with the rear of a Volkwagen Passat driven by Benjamin Jenkins, 30, of Geneva around 1:52 p.m. June 4 in the 100 block of East State Street near Bennett Street, reports said. Less than $500 damage was done to any one vehicle. Edgar was issued a warning ticket for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Collision in Geneva Commons Parking Lot—A Chevrolet Suburban driven by Jennifer Hall, 32, of Elburn collided with a Toyota Camry driven by Francine Kott, 58, of Geneva around 1:30 p.m. June 4 in the parking lot of Geneva Commons, 400 N. Randall Road, reports said. Between $501 and $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Collision on Howell Drive—The driver of a Honda motorcycle driven by Leonard Ball, 35, of Geneva lost control of his motorcycle, attempted to apply the brakes but struck the curb in the 800 block of Howell Drive. The driver fell off the motorcycle, which then struck the residence at 830 Howell Drive. The incident happened around 4:40 p.m. June 4. More than $1,500 damage was done to the motorcycle.

Collision on Route 38—The front of a Toyota Corolla driven by Richard Worthington, 54, of Geneva collided with the rear passenger side of a BMW 328XI driven by judy Kalahan, 67, of Geneva around 2 p.m. May 31 on private property in the 1900 block of West State Street near Bricher Road, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Collision on Anderson Boulevard—The front of a Ford Expedition driven by Bart Curtin, 71, of St. Charles collided with the driver’s side of a Chevrolet Impala driven by George Carbray, 40, of Geneva around 11:58 a.m. June 1 at the intersection of Anderson Boulevard and Ford Street, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Collision on Anderson Boulevard—The front of a Toyota Camry driven by Robert Honeyman, 24, of Geneva collided with the rear of a Volvo 850 driven by William Coole, 62, of St. Charles around 4:15 p.m. in the 300 block of Anderson Boulevard near Stevens Street, reports said. Between $501 and $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle. Honeyman was issued a warning ticket for driving too closely.

Collision on Anderson Boulevard—The driver’s side of a Buick Riviera driven by Timothy Schie, 20, of Geneva collided with the front of a Ford Contour driven by Paula Gulbrandsen, 61, of St. Charles around 4:34 p.m. May 27 in the 800 block of Anderson Boulevard, reports said. Between $501 and $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle. Schie was issued a warning ticket for failure to yield the right of way.

Collision on West State Street—The front of a Pontiac Grand Am driven by Jacob Kunzelman, 25, of Geneva collided with the rear of a Pontiac Grand Am driven by Otto Hurtado, 30, of Sycamore around 12:58 p.m. May 26 in the 300 block of West State Street near Third Street, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Collision on Daniels Way—The rear of a Honda Odyssey driven by Kathleen Davine, 41, of Geneva collided with the front of a Nissan Sentra parked in the 200 block of Daniels Way near Husking Peg Lane around 5:05 p.m. May 25, reports said. Between $501 and $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Collision on Kaneville Road—The front of a Ford Ranger driven by Randall Johnson, 61, of Geneva collided with the rear of a BMW M3 driven by Thomas VanNortwick, 24, of Geneva around 4:30 p.m. May 25 on Kaneville Road near James Street, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Collision on South Third Street—The front of a Ford Flex driven by Anne Miller, 45, of Naperville collided with the rear of a Jeep Wrangler driven by Stephen Burnhan, 63, of Geneva around 10:52 a.m. May 25 in the 0-100 block of South Third Street near West State Street, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Collision on Keslinger Road—The rear of a Hyundai Elantra driven by Daniel Whiston, 35, of Geneva collided with the front of a Cadillac Eldorado driven by Daniel Larsen, 37, of Elgin around 7:08 a.m. May 25 at the intersection of Keslinger and Peck roads. Less than $500 damage was done to any one vehicle. Whiston was issued a warning ticket for failure to yield while turning left.
