Reminders: City Offices Closed for Labor Day; Garbage Collection Delayed a Day

Also, don't forget to pay your property tax bill by Sept. 4!

The city of Geneva offices are closed for Labor Day, and that pushes meetings and garbage pickup back a day, too.

The Geneva City Council meeting, usually held on Monday, is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, in Council Chambers.

Other city meetings this week include the Business Improvement & Retention Committee meeting at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, at .

The Strategic Plan Advisory Committee meets at 6:30  p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, in the first floor conference room at City Hall.

And the Cultural Arts Commission meets at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, in City Hall chambers.

Refuse collection for the city of Geneva has been delayed a day, due to the Labor Day holiday.

For all of the East Side and the West Side from Third Street to the Fox River, garbage collection moves from Thursday to Friday. Please check the attached map and the city of Geneva website for details.

For the West Side and Far West Side of Geneva, pickup moves from Friday to Saturday this week only.

And don't forget it's property tax time.
