Postcards From Spring Break: We're Somewhere in Ohio

Today, we're in Wauseon ... somewhere along the beautiful Ohio Turnpike.

OK, I'm not Charles Kuralt.

But I am "on the road" with my family, heading for NYC and who-knows-what adventures.

At any rate, here's our first photo. It's a foggy morning, taken just outside our Holiday Inn Express on the Ohio Turnpike.

Charles Kuralt Quote of the Day:

"For a while there, I was a stringer. The expression comes from the old habit of stringing together the column inches that you had written. They'd measure it and pay you 10 cents an inch for your printed copy."

About "Postcards"

We're going to NYC!

And we're going to share our experience on Geneva Patch. On semi-regular intervals, we'll post a photo of our driving trip to the East Coast. We might even stop at Washington, D.C., along the way.

I'll try to get the Patch insignia somewhere in the photo, too, just for the fun of it. Kind of like that gnome thing people did years ago, or the library's Flat Stanley photo ops.

Send us your spring break photos, too! Tell us where you are, where you've been or where you're headed. Or add your photos when you get home.

We’ve removed the ability to reply as we work to make improvements. Learn more here
