UPDATE: Tornado Watch Issued in Kane Co. Until 1 A.M. Monday

The watch covers 10 other counties as well.

The National Weather Service this afternoon issued a tornado watch for Kane and 10 other counties.

A tornado watch indicates that conditions are favorable for a tornado to form. Find adequate shelter and follow weather updates.

The watch is in effect until 1 a.m. for Kane and the following counties:

A chance of showers and thunderstorms will remain until early Monday morning.

It was supposed to get up to 87 degrees today—skipping spring and going straight to summer.

But there's also a Hazardous Weather Warning in effect.

Strong south winds and believe it or not "a heightened grass fire danger" is expected this afternoon.

Tonight we'll see some cool air that could potentially bring some hail and the right conditions for a tornado, according to the National Weather Service.
