Geneva on the Web: Traffic Court Facility Coming Monday, Trouble with Metra But Lego Trains Are a Go

We have on Geneva Patch, but the Daily Herald ran a nice mention of the Geneva History Center's fifth annual Northern Illinois Lego Train Club event, which is on this weekend. The of the Geneva Courthouse will be there, as well.

New traffic court opens Monday on Randall Road

The Kane County Chronicle points out that a new court facility for Kane County is to be open on Monday. Traffic court will be at the new location at 530 S. Randall Road. The courtroom is expected to relieve the long lines and parking congestion at the Kane County Judicial Center.

Power struggle brewing over Metra board

The outstanding and wonderful Marni Pyke of the Daily Herald reports that there's a power struggle in the works following the suicide of Metra's Executive Director Phil Pagano during an investigation for financial misconduct. Some are calling for a complete housecleaning of the Metra board, but Director Caryl Van Overmeiren of Geneva says that would be like "throwing the baby out with the bath water.”
