Geneva Church Social: Ice Cream, Anyone?

How are you planning to while away the dog days of summer? Here are a few suggestions from area houses of worship:

Webmasters will host an ice cream social at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 31, in Seton Hall. The event is free. For more information, call the church at 630-232-0124.

will offer prayers for area Christians to make for Moslems during Ramadan, which falls in August this year. For more information, visit the website www.pray4them.org or visit the church’s website at www.stmarks-geneva.org.

will hold Equip, a four-day volunteer camp for children entering middle school, from Monday, Aug. 1, to Thursday, Aug. 4. Equip activities will start at 2 p.m. and will include shopping for local food pantries and cooking and serving meals at Lazarus House homeless shelter in St. Charles. will host a Sacred Harp singing workshop at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, at the church, 102 S. Second St. For more information, call the church at 232-2350.
