Geneva Architecture Challenge: Warning—Search for Challenge House Could Get Readers Wet

Bring towels and swimsuits for the kids when tracking down this east side home.

This week we offer an equal-opportunity Challenge, with one West Side home and one east side home. The first, a low-slug 1950s or ‘60s house with dramatic front windows, looks refreshingly modern in its neighborhood located just outside the historic district. While the second photo shows the back of the east side home, that’s because the back facade is what parents and young children will remember seeing while they have fun in the sun.

Answer to Last Week's Challenge

Last week’s Challenge homes both sit on the near west side. The warehouse-like house is located at the southwest corner of Third and Stevens streets, while the home with the plaster pooches sits at 217 Lincoln Ave.—just across the street from the former Coultrap Elementary School building and still on some students’ routes to Geneva High School.
