Geneva Architecture Challenge: Two Downtown Domiciles
If you gravitate to Geneva's historic midsection, these homes should stand out.
To spare your gasoline budgets, I’ve chosen this week’s homes from the edges of the downtown retail district. One is perfect if you’re in the mood for blue; the other makes a commanding statement with its classical front columns.

The Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired tan brick house is at 209 Peyton St., at the corner of Peyton and Second streets. The red brick house at 320 East Side Drive is a little harder to pinpoint, since it’s half-hidden by a huge, sprawling evergreen tree. But you can’t miss the Cubs banner that flies proudly from the front porch every season no matter how badly the Boys in Blue are playing.
