CDC Recommends All Baby Boomers Get Tested for Hepatitis C ASAP

Baby Boomers need Hep.C testing urgently. New treatments are available since May 2011.

Hepatitis C is a deadly disease. Last year, Vertex and Merck came out with newer medicines, which I wrote about in GastroEndonews.

Now, CDC has come with new recommendation that all baby boomers who were born between 1945-65, be tested for Hepatitis C.

The reason: Seventy-five percent of 3.2 million people with Hep.C are Baby Boomers born between 1945-65.
