Bridgestone Americas never “tires” of helping kids in Bloomingdale

For the last 10 years, the Marklund Children’s Home has received generous support from the Bridgestone Americas Trust Fund, totaling more than $35,000. Most recently, the Trust Fund donated $3,000 as an investment in the high-quality care at Marklund.

 

The Marklund Children’s Home, located in Bloomingdale,  provides residential care with 24-hour nursing supervision for children and young adults with profound developmental disabilities and many special needs. The gift from Bridgestone Americas directly supports the level of care required by these medically vulnerable children.

“Donations for general operations are so important to the everyday life of our clients at Marklund,” stated Vicki Krystof, Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at Marklund,. “The generosity we receive annually from Bridgestone Americas shows their commitment to children who have profound disabilities.”

Additionally, during the Christmas season, the employees of the Bloomingdale Bridgestone Americas location participate in Marklund’s Giving Tree Program, an opportunity for friends in the community to purchase gifts for the residents.

 

Founded in 1952, the Bridgestone Americas Trust Fund proudly supports a variety of important charities in the United States. The Trust Fund primarily focuses on organizations with missions supporting: education, environment and conservation, and children’s programs.
