Geneva Gas Guide: $3.79 Spotted at Mobil in St. Charles

National average gasoline prices declined 4.7 cents per gallon of regular gasoline this week, and down 12.7 cents a gallon from a month ago.

The Sam’s Club* at Randall Road and Fabyan Parkway in Batavia and the Costco* on Randall Road near Oak Street in St. Charles had the cheapest gas prices in the Tri-Cities on Wednesday night, according to Illinois Gas Prices.

AAA’s Daily Fuel Gauge Report showed that nationally, the average price for a gallon of regular gasoline on late Wednesday was $3.650 a gallon, up slightly from $3.658 a day earlier, but down from $3.697 a week ago. The national average of a gallon of regular gas a month ago was $3.777, but was $3.898 a year ago. The highest recorded average price for a gallon of regular gasoline was $4.114 on July 17, 2008.
