Three B Brothers, Burgers, Beer Abruptly Goes Bye Bye

It's a little bit of a mystery what happened to Three B—Brothers, Burgers and Beer.

The restaurant at the corner of West State Street and River Lane closed its doors abruptly sometime last week, according to a report by the Kane County Chronicle.

As of Monday night, the restaurant had all the appearances of being open. Mustard and catsup containers were on the tables, liquor bottles lined the shelves of the bar, and the only sign of vacancy was the "for lease" signs in the windows.

Doug Summers Commercial Realty is leasing the property for the owner, the Shodeen Group.

The restaurant, located at 7 W. State St., had a menu that ranged from wings, sandwiches and pizza to salads, burgers and ribs.

The Three B Facebook page indicates the business had just celebrated its one-year anniversary. It officially opened July 2, 2012.

Its most recent Facebook post was June 22, when it encouraged patrons to watch the Blackhawks game, then stay for a live band, 1 Sam 10. There was no answer to calls to the business' phone number and no voice message.

Summers told the Chronicle that the business "went dark," and said he did not know why.
