Shop in Geneva on Small Business Saturday on Nov. 24

Start your holiday shopping at locally owned stores during Small Business Saturday.

Small Business Saturday is on Nov. 24 this year, two days after Thanksgiving. It is a day for everyone to support the small businesses that their community thrives on.

American Express founded the day in 2010 to help small businesses get exposure during the holiday season, when they might be otherwise overlooked. With retailers buzzing around the holidays, it is important to support local small businesses that rely on their neighbors in order to continue prospering and building the local economy in Geneva.

"Studies show that for every $100 spent in a locally owned independent store, $68 returns to the community through taxes, payroll, and other expenditures," said Laura Rush of the Geneva Chamber of Commerce. "Your purchases at local stores keep businesses going, and keep jobs in our community. These local businesses are the ones who contribute to chamber festivals, fund local fundraisers, and sponsor neighborhood sports teams."

Last year, 100 million people nationwide participated in Small Business Saturday by shopping at locally owned stores to help boost the economy and their communities.

There are literally more than 100 Geneva businesses taking part in Small Business Saturday. Check them out by clicking this link.

Besides Colonel Fabyan Popcorn all those stores are overpriced stupid shit that only rich yuppies would buy

In that case no wonder y the stores stay open in Geneva is full of white rich yuppies. For example when most people see a black person in Geneva they think there going to get mugged or they cross the street assuming that all black people are from the hood with weapons and are trying to kill or mug you. When people in GENEVA they just assume that yard work or some low end job needs to be done assuming that all Mexicans are border hoping yard working immigrants.Go to Geneva live there for about 8-9 years and you will see. Take some friendly advice and never live there because it is such a shitty weak town and if someone tells you they like living there just remember that they don't know any better.
