On the Web: Delnor, CDH Have New Corporate Name, Apply for $20 Million Cancer Center in Geneva

Central DuPage Hospital and Delnor Hospital have a new corporate name: Cadence Health System.

Crain's Chicago Business, Becker's Hospital Review and other news websites report that recently merged in Geneva and Central DuPage Health System in Winfield have a new corporate name: Cadence Health System.

According to those reports, each hospital will keep its existing name, but you can look for some Cadence branding efforts in January.

Luke McGuinness of CDH is the CEO of Cadence.

Meanwhile, the Kane County Chronicle reported on Friday that Cadence has applied to the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board for a certificate of need, which would let them to build a $20 million cancer treatment center.

The center would combine the oncology services throughout the Delnor campus and become a division of the hospital, the Chronicle reports.

The certificate of need says 7,700 patients—the majority from Geneva, Batavia and St. Charles—would be treated at the new center after it is up and running for two years.
