Merger Complete for Delnor Health System and Central DuPage
Two healthcare systems unite to provide "exceptional care" for local patient population
Final approval was given to Delnor Health System and Central DuPage Health this week in a merger that promises to bring exceptional care to the local patient population of more than one million in the western suburbs.
C. William Pollard, chairman of the CDH board of directors, said the merger creates a new health system providing patients access "to a greater number of specialists, a broader range of clinical capabilities and a more integrated approach to health care."
Luke McGuinness, CDH's president and chief executive officer, has been named CEO of the new system. McGuinness will report to a 20-person board made up of 10 trustees each from CDH and Delnor.
