Marklund Makes Decision to Ban Tobacco Products, Starting Sunday

As of 11:50 p.m. Sunday, July 31, all of Marklund’s property will officially become tobacco free. Marklund’s mission includes a dedication to personal growth, and this tobacco-free policy protects and promotes the health and well-being of clients, employees, volunteers, and visitors.

The policy bans the use of tobacco products by anyone on Marklund property which includes staff, volunteers, contractors and visitors. Marklund is offering assistance for employees who wish to participate in smoking cessation programs.

“Marklund is committed to creating a healthy environment for everyone,” said Gil Fonger, Marklund president and CEO, “and by adopting this new policy, we are promoting a healthy lifestyle that positively impacts everyone in the organization.”

Tobacco-free signs will be posted as a reminder of the new policy.
