Here's One Great Geneva Gift for Christmas

Laura Rush is writing a Friday column for the next several weeks on unusual items you can purchase in Geneva for the holidays. As a preview, here's one all-Geneva gift that would be fun for the holidays.

There are a ton of great holiday gifts and gift ideas that you can find in Geneva. Laura Rush is highlighting a few in a series of columns for Geneva Patch each Friday until Christmas.

One that I spotted and really like is the "City of Geneva Ornament Collection."

These are the 175th-anniversary pewter holiday ornaments on sale at the City Store at City Hall. If you love Geneva, this is a way to celebrate your hometown every holiday season.

What's kind of cool, too, is that it's part of a collectable series.

"Each year, the city will have a limited number of beautifully-crafted holiday ornaments which will reflect a nostalgic Geneva design," it says in the city's newsletter.

This 2010 ornament shows the city logo on one side, and "175th Anniversary" on the other. Ornaments cost $12 each and can be purchased between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays at City Hall, 22 S. First St.
