Geneva-Based Training Company Says 2014 Is 'Time To Reinvent Yourself'

The Entrepreneur's Source® of Geneva shares insight to guide entrepreneurs "From Employment to Empowerment."

Riding the current economic wave has made a large portion of the population uncertain about the future of their chosen career paths, according to Po Collins, a business coach with The Entrepreneur’s Source of Geneva.

Dubbed by The Entrepreneur’s Source as as "Battered Career Syndrome," this economic uncertainty has left many people feeling that they cannot count on the corporate world to carry them through to a prosperous retirement.

“Rather than resigning yourself to live with the notion of Battered Career Syndrome, there are steps you can take to reach your original goals and
ambitions,” Collins said. “Through the appropriate means of self-discovery, you can learn what it takes to meet your short- and long-term goals — so that You 1.0 can start taking action and transform into the You 2.0.”

Collins say to embrace a new You 2.0, you have to go through a self-discovery process that includes:

Identifying setbacks — "It is imperative for an aspiring entrepreneur to
recognize that the fear and uncertainty that come as a result of the
Battered Career Syndrome are potential setbacks. As children, we used to
have the ability to act on our end goals without the fear of failure. In
order to move forward with a new business venture we must regain that
child-like ability and have faith in our skills to carry us forward," Collins said in a press release.

Redefining short- and long-term goals — "One of the most important things
to do when seeking to become self-sufficient is to take the time to
identify your Income, Lifestyle, Wealth and Equity goals (ILWE)," Collins says. 'Whether your goals are short term, like spending more time with family, or long-term, like providing business equity for your family in the future, being honest about what is important to you is the only path to success."

Identifying your vehicle — "After defining your desired ILWE, you can
begin researching the business venture, or vehicle for success,
appropriate to reach your goals. There are thousands of franchise concepts
with systems already in place to ensure franchisee success — this step is
about finding the right fit for you," Collins says.

The Entrepreneur’s Source is hosting an educational webinar at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 19. Attendees will learn about business ownership options, redefining desired ILWE and identifying their own vehicle for success through franchising. Coaches will also be present to answer any questions. Registration is free.
