Gas Guide: Most Geneva Prices Below State Average

National average gasoline prices continued their decline, dropped 5.1 cents per gallon over the past week and 14.2 cents per gallon of regular gasoline from a month ago.

Meantime, Tri-Cities gas prices well below the statewide average price of a gallon of regular gasoline, which was $3.70 Wednesday.

The 7-Eleven at South Randall and West Main Street in St. Charles, and the paid-membership gas stations Sam’s Club in Batavia had the lowest prices per gallon of regular gasoline in the Tri-Cities on Wednesday, according to Illinois Gas Prices.

AAA’s Daily Fuel Gauge Report showed that nationally, the average price for a gallon of regular gasoline late Wednesday was $3.477 a gallon, unchanged from a day earlier and down from $3.528 a week ago. The national average of a gallon of regular gas a month ago was $3.619, and was $3.336 a year ago. The highest recorded national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline was $4.114 on July 17, 2008.
