Gas Gauge: A Chicken in Every Pot and $2 Gas in the Car in Everyone's Garage—But Not This Week
Michele Bachmann repeats her $2 gas promise on "Face the Nation," but Geneva gas prices go up anyway.
With all the talk about $2-a-gallon gas from GOP presidential candidate Michele Bachmann, you'd think the Geneva Gas Gauge could pull back a little bit.
But noooooo.
Gas prices in Geneva started an uphill climb last week, shooting up 14 cents, and they're up again this week. The high price on Tuesday morning was $3.99 at Marathon on the East Side. A bunch of stations were tied for "best" at $3.89.

It's good to have a chicken in every pot and $2-a-gallon gas in the car in everyone's garage, but at least one analyst says to be careful what you wish for. Tom Kloza, chief oil analyst at the Oil Price Information Service, told the Chicago Tribune that cheap gas is a recipe for economic disaster.
OK, so maybe that's a disaster we could live with.
