Two of the owners of the recently opened Firehouse Pizza and Grill, 17 N. Fourth St. in Geneva, are firefighters at the Elburn and Countryside Fire Protection District, according to the Kane County Chronicle.
Mike Huneke, a lieutenant; his wife, Christine Huneke, a firefighter/paramedic; and their friend, teacher Edgar Pereda, own the restaurant, which opened last month and includes menu items such as the backdraft pizza, according to the article.
Firehouse Pizza & Grill will be holding a Grand Opening event on March 19 at 4 p.m. Samples and raffles will be available, according to the Firehouse Pizza & Grill website.
