Bicycle Heaven Moving to Viking Office Supply's Old Spot

Bicycle store aiming to move into vacant space that will offer better parking and easy access to trails.

Bicycle Heaven is moving west of the river to the former Viking Office Supply space on State Street and is shooting for a March 15 opening to start peddling its wares.

A visit to their website shows the message: "We are currently in the process of moving the shop to a bigger, better location" at 124 W. State St.

Commercial real estate firm Sperry Van Ness, which is handling the transaction, said they have not yet closed on the property and are in the process of getting through the last approvals needed. The site offers 14,000 square feet and was built in 1953. Located just west of the river on State Street, the space is in a high visibility area with ample parking and easy access to the bike trails along the river.
