5 (Great) Things to Do This Weekend in Geneva

I'm not Irish, but my wife is of Irish discent and I've read Angela's Ashes. Does that count?

If so, I might head out to Claddagh Irish Pub for a St. Patrick's Day treat or two.

1. St. Patrick's Day at —Saturday's Irish celebration starts with Kegs and Eggs at 8 a.m. and continues with tents and Irish dancers and a U2 tribute band and traditional Irish music and about a billion other things Irish. Check it out at Claddagh's website.

2. —Saturday's 7:30 p.m. show at Geneva High School is the last of three. It's also playing 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday night, and everyone says it's awesome.

3. —Get to the  from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. this weekend for a . Plus, you can see the Girl Scout Century Exhibition—and Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts receive $1 discount if they wear their uniform!

4. !—This is one of our family's favorites. The teachers are amazing talents, and the kids (and parents) learn a lot about music and quality performance. This is at 2 p.m. Sunday at the church, 227 East Side Dr, Geneva, IL.

5.—This elementary school PTO puts the "fun" in "FUNdraiser!" Games, prizes, treats—it's like going to Disney World for a day. Your kids will have a great time, and so will you. It goes from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Harrison Street School.
