Four Trophies For St. Peter In Hampshire

St. Peter Cross Country Win Fourth Conference Meet.

St. Peter Rocket Cross Country finished their regular conference season last Tuesday with three first-place and one second-place trophy at Seyllar Park in Hampshire.

In spite of resting nine athletes for the upcoming IESA State Meet and a lineup depleted with illness and injury, the Rocket Runners rounded out their Tri-County Conference season on a victorious high note. Most notable was the second-place trophy earned by the seventh/eighth-grade boys team of Thomas Hein, Henry Feldhaus and Johnny Callahan despite only fielding three athletes in the race.

Along with nine total top five medals earned by Rocket athletes, Kayleigh Barnaba placed secondin the 7/8th-grade girls race, Caroline Zimmer won the 5/6th-grade girls race and Sam McEnery won the 5/6th-grade boys race. This marked McEnery’s fourth conference win this season.
