Coultrap Demolition In Full Swing

It might be the first day of Swedish Days, but work continues throughout Geneva, including demolition of the former Coultrap school.

Work on Tuesday morning was on the north side, the newer portions of the building.

Alpine Demolition Services is doing the work. Alpine's website is KnockItDown.com, for more information.

Job site rules at 1113 Peyton are that no one is allowed on the property. Work hours are 7 a.m. To 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

Mud and debris is cleaned from the street twice a day, and on-street parking of demolition vehicles is prohibited.

"Respect for the neighbors will be shown at all times during this project!" a signs read near the intersection of Ford Street and Lincoln Avenue.
