Police: Back to School Wednesday in Geneva — Let's Be Careful Out There

Geneva officers will have a visible presence in the school zones to watch for violations.

The Geneva Police Department would like to remind you — yes, you personally — that Geneva schools will be back in session beginning tomorrow.

And to give you fair warning, there will be officers on hand.

"Please drive safely and obey school zone speed limits," the Police Department said Tuesday in a Nixle email blast.

Geneva Officers will have a visible presence in the school zones to watch for those violations that contribute to accidents. Violations include texting while driving, talking on a cell phone in a school zone and speeding.

"Please assist us in assuring that the school year starts off safely for everyone. We greatly appreciate your cooperation," officers said.
