Austin Herr: Vote for Vikings Goalie Steven Soderstrom!

Geneva Vikings goalie Steven Soderstrom has been nominated for TribLocal's High School Player of the Month award. He is in contention with five other local athletes for the accolade.

From the TribLocal website:

"Steven Soderstrom posted two shutouts during the month of September and had a Goals Against Average under 2 despite playing against many of the top teams in the state of Illinois and Missouri. In numerous games, he made spectacular saves to help give his team a chance to win. He achieved all of this while playing with a partially torn pectoral muscle and a small case of bronchitis."

The winner will be honored by TribLocal, and St. Charles Toyota will make donations to his or her school.
