New Petting Zoo Coming Saturday to Park District's Autumn Fair

Crafts, games, music and more coming to the annual Autumn Fair, Sept. 22 at Peck Farm Park

The Geneva Park District Foundation welcomes families from near and far to enjoy a day of fun at the annual Autumn Fair at Peck Farm Park. This event will be held on Saturday, September 22 from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm at Peck Farm Park located at 4038 Kaneville Road in Geneva.

Visitors will enjoy pony rides, family activities, children’s games, crafts, a birds of prey exhibit, and musical entertainment.  New this year, patrons can mingle with animals in a large petting zoo as well as learn how to milk a cow. Those looking for a more interactive experience can feed the animals and milk a cow themselves.  Plus, it is the final opportunity to visit the award-winning Butterfly House and watch as hundreds of butterflies fly, feed, and flutter around you. Chili, brats, hot dogs, pop, water, pie slices and more will be available for purchase.

Visitors can also test their luck and purchase tickets for $5 each to win raffle baskets filled with great products and services from area businesses. Descriptions for the baskets are available online atwww.genevaparks.org/foundation. Some items to be raffled off are a one-night stay at the Herrington Inn, a 20-person skybox reservation for a Kane County Cougars Game, golf rounds at various Geneva golf clubs and other suburban golf courses, as well as Geneva Park District family fitness memberships and family pool passes. Tickets for the Basket Raffle are available for purchase at Stephen D. Persinger Recreation Center, Sunset Community Center, and Peck Farm Park Interpretive Center.
