National Lazy Day, Mothers Club Meeting, $1 Movie and More—5 Things You Should Know for Wednesday Aug. 10

Don't feel like doing anything today? Good! It's National Lazy Day.

The Mothers Club of Geneva is looking for volunteers. To find out how you can help, keep reading. Also, the is holding a back to school organization meeting tonight. Here are five things going on today:

1.  will be holding a  from 5 to 8 p.m. at and Winery. The Mothers Club is a charity organization serving the community through fundraising and volunteer efforts.

2. You can see the animated comedy Rio for $1 at 10 a.m. at  movie theatres. The star-studded voice-over cast of Rio takes you on an adventure from a small town in Minnesota, where a domesticated tropical bird decides to find his roots back home in Brazil. It is a comedic spectacle fit for all ages. 

3. The Geneva High School Theater Boosters will meet at 7 p.m. at the . The Geneva Theater Boosters is a districtwide group raising funds and supporting the Theater Department at Geneva High School.

Tonight's agenda is brainstorming and getting organized for the 2011-2012 school year. Click for information on how you can become involved. 

4. Seniors can register to enjoy a suggested donation from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. every Thursday at the .  

Call Sherri at 630-232-3602 to register. The suggested donation is $3 for age 60 and over, $6 for under age 60.

5. Today is national Lazy Day, a celebration of doing absolutely nothing. You should try to decompress and forget about work, stress or anything else that would stop you from being relaxed.
