Movies in Park, Flick n' Float Kick Off Thursday, Friday in Geneva

There will be plenty of chances this summer to catch a movie while enjoying some fresh air this summer. 

The first Movie in the Park of the summer season will be held at Wheeler Park at 8:30 p.m. on June 12. 

The Geneva Park District will be showing Disney's Chicken Little and concessions will be available for purchase. Those attending should bring a blanket or chair. 

Other movies showing at Geneva parks this summer include: 

  • Gnomeo & Juliet will be showing on the big screen at Randall Square Park, Blackman Road in Geneva. Movies begin at dusk or approximately 8:30 pm.
  • Charlotte's Web will be showing on the big screen at Moore Park,  877 Geneva Drive. Movies begin at dusk or approximately 8:30 pm.
Another great way to see a movie outdoors is during a Flick n' Float at Sunset Pool, 710 Western Ave. in Geneva. The movies all start about dusk or 8:30 p.m. and twilight admission rates apply for those attending. 

"As the sun sets at Sunset Pool, grab a floatie or an inner tube and enjoy a cool poolside screening …" according to the Geneva Park District. 

The following movies will be shown during this summer's Flick n' Float season: 
  • Disney’s Frozen on June 13
  • The Jungle Book on July 11 
  • The Lego Movie on August 8
