Geneva’s McCarthy Hosts Celeb Fundraiser in St. Charles

Gala was a benefit to raise funds for Bridges Montessori Academy in St. Charles.

Geneva resident celebrity Jenny McCarthy hosted a red-carpet affair at the Hotel Baker in St. Charles that drew other celebrities for the charity fundraiser on Saturday evening.

The Dancing With the Stars benefit in the hotel’s Rainbow Ballroom was to raise funds for Bridges Montessori Academy in St. Charles, which McCarty's son attends, PlanitKane.com wrote in a story earlier this month previewing the fundraiser.

The dinner and dancing event was quite an affair, drawing media interest from all over.

The Daily Mail Online gushed about the black halter dress with the deeply plunging neckline that McCarthy donned for the event,  but also focused on — as did Us Weekly —  her date for the evening: Donnie Wahlberg, singer with New Kids on the Block.

“Jenny McCarthy sexed it up to emcee a Dancing With the Stars event on Saturday at the Hotel Baker in St. Charles, Illinois,” the Daily Mail Online wrote Sunday. “... She paired her jaw-dropping dress with her best accessory: boyfriend and New Kids on the Block singer Donnie Wahlberg.”

Wahlberg wore a black tux, according to Us Weekly, which touted the event as the couple officially going public since they started dating. Us Weekly had reported the couple were an item in July.

The Daily Mail Online also reported that other celebrity guests at the event included:

  • Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler and his wife, Kristin Cavallari, a Dancing With the Stars contestant from the show’s 13th season.

  • Dancing With the Stars dancers Anya Fuchs, Chelsea Hightower, and Kelly Monaco, the show’s Season 1 winner.
