Geneva Summer Concert Series Expands to 2 Nights a Week, June 1-26

The schedule for the 9th Annual Geneva Summer Concert Series has doubled. The free outdoor concerts will be held Wednesday and Sunday evenings, June 1 - June 26.

The public is invited to enjoy twice as many free concerts at Geneva Commons this year, as the 9th Annual Geneva Concert Series kicks off Wednesday night, June 1.

The free outdoor concerts will continue each Wednesday and Sunday evening through June 26 in the shopping center’s courtyard near . Concerts will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, and 5 p.m. on Sundays, and everyone is welcome to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets. This year, the first 100 attendees at each concert will receive a stainless steel BPA-free eco-friendly water bottle, compliments of Geneva Commons.

Wednesday, June 1 – DIRTY DAN’S COOL ROCKIN’ DADDIES

 

(6:30 p.m. -8:30 p.m.) is a roadhouse-style band made up of five dads who make up a lean, mean, rockin’ machine. They play rock greats from the '50s to the '90s, along with originals.

 

Sunday, June 5 – RED WOODY

 

(5 p.m. – 7 p.m.) is a cover band dedicated to presenting favorite tunes from the '70s, '80s, '90s, and today, including hits from Journey, Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, AC/DC, Counting Crows, Kid Rock, Poison, and many more artists.

 

Wednesday, June 8 – 7th HEAVEN

 

 

(6:30 p.m. -8:30 p.m.) performs dead-on renditions of Def Lepard, The Beatles, Bon Jovi, Journey and U2, at a frenetic pace.

 

 

Sunday, June 12 – THE FUNDAMENTALS

 

 

(5 p.m. – 7 p.m.) provides diverse hits from the '60s to now, including the Allman Brothers, Rolling Stones, Maroon 5 and much more.

 

 

Wednesday June 15 – DENNY DIAMOND AND THE FAMILY JEWELS

 

 

(6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.) features Denny and his two sons paying tribute to the great Neil Diamond. This well-known family music act performs around the country.

 

 

Sunday, June 19 – HI-INFIDELITY

 

 

(5 p.m. – 7 p.m.) is back by popular demand as "Chicago’s Best Classic Rock Band," featuring the classic tunes by REO Speedwagon, Journey, Styx, Foreigner and others.

 

 

Wednesday, June 22 – MISSBEHAVIN’

 

 

(6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.) is an extraordinary, female-fronted party band, covering four decades of the best Classic Rock and R&B.

 

 

Sunday, June 26 – NEVERLY BROTHERS

 

 

(5 p.m. – 7 p.m.) bring fiery energy to a musical concept that bridges the gap between 1950s rockabilly and the early 1960s British invasion.

 

Concertgoers can also take advantage of the wide variety of eateries throughout Geneva Commons before or after the concerts, including , , , , , , , , Potbelly Sandwich Works and .

Geneva Commons is home to more than 70 stores and restaurants, and is located at Randall Road and Williamsburg Avenue in Geneva. Shopping hours are Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sundays 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. (some store hours vary).
