Maundy Thursday recalls Jesus' Last Supper

Maundy Thursday of Holy Week remembers Jesus’ Last Supper with his disciples, the Jewish festival of Passover. The worship service will include hymns, Bible readings and Holy Communion. At the conclusion of the service, a ceremonial "Stripping of the Altar" occurs as the altar decorations, called paraments, and sanctuary adornments are removed while Psalm 22 is read or chanted. The bare sanctuary is prepared for the next Holy Week observance on Good Friday.

All are welcome.
