Free Friday Flick: 9500 Liberty

The Social Justice committee of the Unitarian Universalist Society of Geneva  will screen a highly acclaimed, recently-released film about immigration. 9500 Liberty shows how anti-immigration forces frightened lawmakers in Virginia into enacting a law requiring police to interrogate anyone suspected of being undocumented and how a community fought back using You Tube videos and virtual townhalls. Are we a nation of immigrants? The immigration debates are causing us to redefine our identity.
