Festival of the Vine

The event runs through Sunday. Saturday's events include:

  • 10 a.m.-Noon – Sidewalk Art at Geneva Library.  Chalk will be provided, or you may bring your own. All ages welcome. Registration is not required.
    James and South Second streets., in front of library.
  • 10 a.m.-4 p.m. – Kids Corner. Crafts, activities and phase 3 of the Shodeen Swedish Cottage.  The cottage will be donated to Mutual Ground by Shodeen.
    Courthouse parking lot at James and Fourth streets.
  • 10 a.m.-6 p.m. – Arts & Crafts Show.
    South Third and Campbell streets.
  • 10 a.m.-6 p.m. – Flower Market with flowers, pumpkins, gourds, Halloween decorations, art and more by The Pure Gardener.

  • 11 a.m. –Demonstration on Harvest Market Stage with Chef Alain Roby designing a pumpkin made entirely of sugar.

  • 11 a.m.-4 p.m. – "Who Was Sadie Cooksey?" a
    traveling exhibition documenting Geneva's Girls' school, and the Community Photo Contest exhibit at the Geneva History Center, 113 S. Third St.
  • 11 a.m.-7 p.m. – Baubles, Bangles and Beads
    Preview at 10 a.m. Jewelry fair, pet clothes, beads and bake sale to benefit Anderson Animal Shelter at the American Legion. Donations accepted at door. 22 S. Second St.
  • 11 a.m.-5 p.m. – Complimentary scenic trolley rides between festival events.
    Stops: Old Mill Park, Sixth and State St., Hamilton and Fourth streets Third and
    James streets, Third and Fulton streets, Third Street and Crescent Place.
  • 11 a.m.-10 p.m. – Flavor Fare. Sampling of restaurant fare, wine and musical entertainment.
    Ticket booth closes at 9:30 p.m. West State and North Fourth streets.
  • Noon-1 p.m. – Entertainment as DancEncounter celebrates the fall harvest season, and every season, with a variety of dance for ages two through adult..
    Stage at West State and North Fourth streets.
  • 1 p.m. – Demonstration on Harvest Market Stage with Carlson’s Floors green flooring.
    Courthouse Parking Lot, James and Fourth streets.
  • 1-4 p.m. – Complimentary horse-drawn antique carriage rides.
    Old Courthouse, South Third and James streets.
  • 3 p.m. – Demonstration on Harvest Market stage with professional pumpkin carver Marc Solomon.
    Courthouse Parking Lot, James and Fourth streets.
  • 7 p.m. – Introduction of 2011 line-up for Dancing with the Geneva Stars, Cultural
    Arts Commission.
  • 7:30-9:30 p.m. – Entertainment with The Hiline Band, Motown music, ‘70s and ‘80s party songs and a touch of swing.
    Stage at West State and North Fourth streets.
