Brown Bag Program - A Centennial Celebration of St. Peter Catholic Church

What United States President visited St. Peter School in 1982?  What priest led a pilgrimage to the Holy Land in 1985 and was hijacked by terrorists on their return trip from Jerusalem? Join lifelong parishioner, Mary Jaeger, to learn the history of St. Peter Catholic Church and the answers to these questions.

Mary Jaeger has been a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and has resided in Geneva all of her life. Most of her career was spent teaching in the Batavia schools. Since her retirement, she has been a volunteer social worker, a former Geneva History Center board member, and an active volunteer at the Geneva History Center.

This presentation marks the kickoff of the Geneva History Center’s monthly Brown Bag Series which runs from September 2011 to May 2012 on the 2nd Tuesday.  It will take place in the Community Room at the Geneva History Center, 113 South Third Street in the heart of Geneva’s historic downtown.  Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for GHC members and students.  Cookies and coffee are provided and participants are encouraged to bring their lunch.  For more information, contact the History Center at 630-232-4951.
