10th Annual Summer Concert Series Rocks at Geneva Commons Beginning June 6

Mark your calendar for the 10th Annual Geneva Commons Summer Concert Series as it kicks off Wednesday night, June 6. The free outdoor concerts will continue each Wednesday and Sunday evening through July 1 in the shopping center’s courtyard near Houlihan's. Concerts will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, and 5:00 p.m. on Sundays, and everyone is welcome to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets. This year, the first 100 attendees at each concert will receive a free fold-up tote, compliments of Geneva Commons.

The artist line-up is scheduled as follows (subject to change without notice):

Wed., June 6– RED WOODY (6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.) is a cover band dedicated to presenting favorite tunes from the ‘70s, ‘80s, ‘90s, and today, including hits from Journey, Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, AC/DC, Counting Crows, Kid Rock, Poison, and many more artists.

Sun., June 10 – 7th HEAVEN (5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.) performs dead-on renditions of Def Leppard, The Beatles, Bon Jovi, Journey and U2, at a frenetic pace.

Wed., June 13 – CHI-TOWN SHOW STOPPERS (6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.)  is a classy 12-piece ensemble playing danceable R&B, rock, funk, pop, swing and jazz standards.

Sun., June 17 – SODA (5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.)  covers everything from classic rock, 80's New Wave and Motown to disco, hip-hop, reggae and alternative, from Dave Matthews to Cee Lo Green, and from John Mellencamp to Black-Eyed Peas.

Wed., June 20 – 24 SEVEN BAND (6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.)  is composed of music teachers, a lieutenant firefighter, a CPA, a nuclear med tech and a dentist, playing rock, acoustic, pop, disco and country

Sun., June 24 – NEVERLY BROTHERS (5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.) bring fiery energy to a musical concept that bridges the gap between 1950s rockabilly and the early 1960s British invasion. 

Wed., June 27 – SERENDIPITY (6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.) is a band of girls that churns out a powerful performance with everything from danceable pop to 70’s rock.

Sun., July 1 – HI-INFIDELITY (5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.) is back by popular demand as “Chicago’s Best Classic Rock Band,” featuring the classic tunes by REO Speedwagon, Journey, Styx, Foreigner and others.

Concertgoers can also take advantage of the wide variety of eateries throughout Geneva Commons before or after the concerts, including California Pizza Kitchen, Claddagh Irish Pub, Corner Bakery Café, Five Guys Burgers & Fries, Fresh D’Lite Grill, Houlihan's, Jamba Juice, Noodles & Company, Potbelly Sandwich Works, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Starbucks and Yogen Früz.

Sidewalk Sale - Also planned for the last weekend of the concert series is a Summer Sidewalk Sale, to be held Saturday, June 30 and Sunday, July 1, featuring special sales both on the sidewalks and inside many Geneva Commons stores.

Geneva Commons is home to 70 stores and restaurants, and is located at 602 Commons Drive in Geneva, Ill. Shopping hours are Monday through Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Sundays 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (some store hours vary).
