Tours of the charming Swedish cottages, or stugas, that dot the 60 acre park will take place throughout the day for an additional fee.  There also will be tours of the 1893 Viking Ship for $3.00. This fee goes to the Viking ship preservation fund. The Viking ship was Norway’s contribution to Chicago’s Columbian Exposition, and sailed across the Atlantic and through the Great Lakes to Chicago, handily beating the fastest sailing ships of the era.

And food to feast in Valhalla on! The day begins at 9:00 AM with two traditional Swedish breakfasts – either the Swedish pancake breakfast or the Swedish herring breakfast. Other food includes Swedish meatball dinners, delicious traditional pastries, plenty of Swedish coffee, and American fare for the kids.
