And Another Thing to Do This Weekend: Celebrate the Art of Carl 'Roy' Gustafson

It's another Saturday must-see event. More than 100 piece of art at The Reserve.

  • Editor's note: With all that's going on this weekend, I almost forgot a really wonderful shindig.

In honor of Carl's 90th birthday, the Gustafsons are hosting a Memorial Exhibit of Carl "Roy" Gustafson from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Reserve of Geneva, 2508 Kaneville Road.

On exhibit will be more than 100 pieces of paintings, ship models, and histrorical:  miniature furniture, rooms and vignettes. Roy was honored in 1976 in Daley Plaza, along side of Pablo Pacisso, as one of the artist's helping to preserve the Illinois landscape through his art.

Directions: Randall Road to West on Fargo, west to Kaneville Road
