And ... ACTION! 2012 Geneva Film Festival Accepts Entries, Starting Today
So, you've made an independent film and you want to showcase it? Have we got the film festival for you!
"Dear Filmmakers and Film Enthusiasts," the Geneva Film Festival organizers' announcement begins.
You have to love that.
The officially opens to accept film submissions today, Monday, Sept. 12, for the fifth annual Geneva Film Festival on March 29-31.

Submissions for the GFF can be registered through Withoutabox, where film-makers have the option to use Secure Online Screeners, "an economical, eco-friendly, and secure alternative to traditional hard-copy DVD submissions," the GFF website says.

The Geneva Film Festival is now accepting submissions for the following categories:
- Narrative and Documentary Feature
- Narrative and Documentary Short
- Animated Short
- Student Short:
- Student Visionary Award (College/Graduate School)
- Young Filmmaker Spotlight (Grade School/High School)
A jury of film industry professionals will judge the submitted works.
Award recognition will go to:
- Best Narrative Feature
- Best Documentary Feature
- Emerging Feature Filmmaker and Emerging Documentary Filmmaker (for first- and second-time directors)
- Best Narrative Short
- Best Documentary Short
- Best Animated Short
- Student Visionary Award (Best Student Short)
- Young Filmmaker Spotlight Award (Best Grade / High School Short)
- Best Performance (Feature or Short)
- NEW THIS YEAR: Best Cinematography (Feature or Short)
