Who's Messing With 'MILF' Creek?
Criminal damage to property comes in the form of an unsavory acronym.
Among the full names of the acronym MILF are the very tame "Man I Love Fishing," "Man I Love Football," "Many Islands, Low Fares" (Spirit Airlines promotion) and the "Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor" comedy club at Walt Disney World.
Some of the seemingly less-wholesome include "Man I Like Fragging" (Counter Strike gaming clan), "Midnight Institution of Lazy Frisbee" (University of Massachusetts Amherst) and "Moro Islamic Liberation Front (Muslim group; Philippines.)"
The most common and least attractive Internet form is a derivation of "Mother I'd Like to Find." You probably can figure out the vulgar version of the acronym.
And although there may be many a midnight Frisbee player in the Mill Creek subdivision, it's easy to see why some residents might not be so happy with the little piece of vandalism shown here and submitted by Mill Creek resident Kevin Reszel.
The hard part for community members is to find out who's in charge of taking care of the sign. Reszel and other residents started with Shodeen, Inc., which said the sign was under the jurisdiction of the Mill Creek special services area. But Reczel said by email Friday that it "looks like Mill Creek SSA is not involved, as well."
