Weekend Planner: Bridge Walk, Gardenology and Bird Fest Extravaganzas in Geneva

This is just a HUGE weekend in Geneva with tons of cool things to do. I know it says five, but here are eight suggestions.

We are keeping our fingers crossed for good weather this weekend, because there is just so much going on in and around Geneva this weekend.

  • Where/When: Downtown Geneva, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Why Go: Could there be a better time to hone your gardening and lawn-care skills? Look at your yard, for gosh sakes. There are 50 experts ready to help you make your life easier. This is a HUGE event. Visit www.gardologygenevail.com

  • Where/When: , 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Why Go? This is way cool. It's an international festival, for starters. And it's got kids activities and guided tours, bird walks and live raptors, for gosh sakes. If you've never been there, Peck Farm Park is amazing.

  • Why Go? You have a heart, right? OK, for starters, . This is a celebration for cancer survivors and cancer patients. It is powerful, it is moving, and it raises funds for a good cause.
  • Pricing: Free

  • Where/When: 5:30 p.m. Saturday at , 33w848 Cherry Ln., Geneva.
  • Why Go: Fabyan PTO's first parent  out includes ticket to the Cougars game in the stadium's new "super suite," dinner and non-alcoholic beverages, cash bar, silent auction and raffle. An adult-only event.
  • Pricing: $30.

5. KASHMIR

  • Where/When: 8 p.m. Saturday, at , 105 E. Main St., St. Charles.
  • Why Go? The Led Zeppelin tribute band appears.

  • Why Go: The St. Charles Singers will showcase the celebratory side of in a concert combining joyful sacred solo and choral music.

3. AN ACT OF THE IMAGINATION

  • Where/When: 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at , 100 N. Island Ave., Batavia.
  • Why Go? A performance of Bernard Slade's witty .
