Rockridge: This Patch is Your Patch

We aim to be the hub of news, conversation and information all about Rockridge. We need your involvement to make it successful.

Rockridge is a special place, and this is a special Patch. Our aim is to make Rockridge Patch every bit as vibrant and diverse as the neighborhood it serves.

The site joins an already robust roster of successful Patch towns. We have 870 Patch locations around the country, 60 of which are in the Bay Area, including Piedmont, Berkeley and Albany.

It's easy to start using Patch. Just sign up for the site (yes, it's free!), subscribe to our newsletter (delivered to your email daily, weekly and/or when news is breaking) and you're ready to go.

What you can do on Patch

If you own a business here, it's already most likely listed in our free directory. Please be sure to claim your listing to use our cool tools for business owners. (And if your business isn't yet listed, you can add it.)

If you're a consumer looking for a restaurant or service, you can search for it in the directory. And if you're happy with an establishment, post a review or rate it.

If you know of an upcoming event, we have you covered there, as well. Go to the events section and click “Add An Event.” We often feature public events on our home page and in our newsletter, so be sure to post a photo and/or video. We also host a community photo gallery that anyone can post to.

Do you have a wedding or engagement to announce or some news to share about a high school graduate or scholarship winner? Then post a short write-up in our announcements section, which also allows families to post free obituaries.

Do you have a lot more to say about life in Rockridge? Are you following local government, or are you an active PTA member? Got a hobby you'd like to share with your neighbors? Then become a blogger. We welcome your voice and your views.

Yes, We're on Facebook and Twitter

And just to make sure you're always connected to your Rockridge Patch, please like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter @RockridgePatch.

Welcome Rockridge Patch! I have many fond memories of my time living in Rockridge (behind Dreyer's ice cream).
