Register Now for Popular Granquist Music Competition Held in June

Registration has begun for the Granquist Music Competition, the largest music competition in the state of Illinois.

Registration is now open for the Grandquist Music Competition—the largest music competition in the state of Illinois—held each June in Geneva.

This is the 42nd year of the competition, established in 1970 by music educator Herb Granquist. The Geneva Chamber of Commerce announced this week that the Granquist family are the new coordinators of the competition.

Students are grouped by instrument, age and years of instruction. A first, second and third place is awarded in each class. Solos, duets and ensembles are all encouraged to register. There are two levels of competition—Olympic and Concert.
