Paul Ruby Foundation Gears Up for 6th Concert for a Cure
This year's concert will be Aug. 25 at Tanna Farms.
The Paul Ruby Foundation has begun planning for the 6th Annual Concert for a Cure to be held on Aug. 25, 2012, at in Geneva. This all-day music event is one of the largest music festivals in the Fox Valley and features some of the region’s best bands. Once again, the concert will have two stages and will be a day-long, family-friendly music event with proceeds benefitting Parkinson’s research at Northwestern Memorial Hospital’s Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorder’s Center.
Not only will there be some of the area’s best musicians, but there will also be a live and silent auction, with items up for bid ranging from tickets to Chicago sporting events to vacations in Napa Valley. The kid’s area will be there again this year, featuring face painting and other fun activities for kids to participate in. US 99.5, America’s Country Music Station’s morning co-host, Lisa Dent, will once again act as emcee for the concert.
This year, vendors from , as well as will also be present. The Knights of Columbus are also bringing their famous Corn Roasting Machine, made famous at Geneva’s annual Swedish Days. Fox Valley Physical Therapy will be providing evaluations at this year’s concert.

In the past five years, the has raised more than $400,000 to support Parkinson’s disease research.
“The support of the community for the concert is amazing and the impact is truly making a difference in our quest to find a cure," Paul Ruby said.

Tickets can be purchased online at a reduced rate at Geneva Ace Hardware, , and Kiss The Sky, if purchased by June 30th. Prior to June 30th, tickets will be $20.00 for those over 21, and $8.00 for those under 21. Tickets can also be purchased online at www.showclix.com/event/Concert4Cure.
