I Lost a Love to a Guy Named Bumble Bee
But he is good-looking—even I have to admit that. So why not adopt him?
I had my heart broken today.
It was at the dog park—the one out on Peck Road in St. Charles. I found myself, incredibly, irresistibly in love a white dog that had a kind of wolfy look to her. Wow. Only problem was she didn't want to have anything to do with me—in spite of my advances and best dog moves, which included sniffing her and stalking her every step at the dog park.
Such was the case today.And that's kind of how it was with me and , who I introduced you to previously.

It was the classic love triangle. I loved Betty, she loved Bumble Bee.

Well, what are you going to do? He is a good-looking guy, as the photos here show.
You know the type, 60 pounds, neutered male, about 2 years old. The folks at DePaw University, where he's staying, think he’s lab/heeler, whatever the heck that is. Sounds like a shaman in white coat and Dexter glasses.
He was rescued from a kill shelter and brought to DePaw on a “foster” basis. He has been there since June and really needs a home. He was adopted by a DePaw client but his high energy was too much for his doggy roommate. He will need an active family, and if he shares the home with another dog, it probably should be a dog who can match his enthusiasm for play. (He LOVES daycare!)
Bumble Bee would do best with 8- to 12-year-old kids. He does well with all kids, but like most herding dogs, he may knock down and "herd" smaller children. He loves balls, Frisbee, running and being outdoors. He would be a perfect dog to get involved with for agility and/or disc-dog activities. He has a terrific and joyful personality and will greet you with love each day. He lives to work, play and learn new things.
