Harrison PTO Says Thank You to Teachers and Staff

Harrison Street School families, students show their appreciation, support and love for teachers and staff.

On Thursday, Harrison PTO hosted its annual Teacher Appreciation Luncheon.  Deb DiLeo, Amy Harp arranged the bountiful meal with many generous donations from Harrison families.

Upon entering the gymnasium on a red carpet, teachers, administration and support staff were greeted by taste tantalizing smells wafting from banquet tables piled high with food fit for kings and queens. From fruits salads, to leafy greens to piping hot casseroles, no one left hungry.

Entertainment to fill the royal court was brought to the teachers and staff by the cast member’s of this year’s fifth grade musical, The Rockin’ Tales of Snow White, under the direction of Roger Parazaider.

If the food and entertainment were not enough, several lucky teachers went home with prizes from an appreciation raffle. The teacher or staff member with a record album taped to his or her chair was the recipient of one of several gifts, including, flowers, a gift basket from Olive Mill or The Galena Garlic Company or a Costco or Graham’s Chocolate Gift Card.

Harrison PTO would like to express their gratitude to the teachers and staff for their dedication and ongoing support and encouragement given to the students and family members of Harrison Street School.
