Participants gathered inside the courthouse and joined hands for a moment of silence acknowledging abused and neglected children in our community. Lunch was provided by Pockets of Aurora, and the event was sponsored by The Exchange Club of the Tri-Cities, AlphaGraphics, Exelon and FONA International.

Based on Prevent Child Abuse America's (PCAA) Pinwheels for Prevention® campaign, some communities distribute pinwheels and coordinate outdoor pinwheel displays representing children affected by abuse or neglect. Pinwheels were displayed on the courthouse lawn.
